Why does the hotel I want to go to have rooms available but I am being told that I can't redeem my World of Hyatt points for a free night award?
World of Hyatt Standard-Room Free Night Awards are available when hotels have standard rooms available at the Standard Rate. If a standard room is not for sale at the Standard Rate on a particular night at a property, a free night award cannot be used at that property.

I have already stayed at multiple Hyatt brands. Why do these stays not count towards the 5-Brand Free Night Award?
Offering a Free Night Award after staying at five unique Hyatt brands is a new benefit for all members of World of Hyatt. All members will start earning toward this new benefit on March 1, 2017. A member may earn this Free Night Award after paying an Eligible Rate for and completing a stay (of one night or more) at 5 different Hyatt brands: Park Hyatt, Miraval, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva, or Hyatt Residence Club. No other brand counts toward earning this award. (Hotels or resorts within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, while independently branded, will constitute a single Hyatt brand for purposes of earning a 5-Brand Free Night Award.) For example, a member would earn this Free Night Award after paying an Eligible Rate and completing five one-night stays as follows: one at a Park Hyatt hotel, one at a Grand Hyatt hotel, one at a Hyatt Regency hotel, one at an Andaz hotel, and one at a Hyatt Centric hotel.
Can I receive more than one 5-Brand Free Night Award?
Yes, you may receive more than one 5-Brand Free Night Award after staying at five unique Hyatt brands based on the total number of unique Hyatt brands. As of November 2018, the maximum earning of these awards is two based on the current number of unique Hyatt brands.
How do I book the 5-Brand Free Night Award?
You can book the award through your “My Awards” page or by calling a Hyatt Global Contact Center. This Free Night Award is valid for 1 year from date of issuance and must be redeemed for a reservation with a checkout date before the award expiration date.
The 5-Brand Free Night Award is redeemable only for Category 1 – 4 Hyatt hotels or resorts and is not valid at MGM Rewards destinations. This award is redeemable for 1 free night in a standard room, only when standard rooms are available at the Standard Rate at the selected hotel or resort.
What is the expiration date on the Free Night in a Category 1 – 4 hotel or resort award?
We would like members to enjoy the award as close to their qualifying date as possible to recognize their achievement. The award is issued to a member upon completing 30 Tier-Qualifying Nights or earning 50,000 Base Points. Category 1 - 4 Free Night Awards are valid for a reservation with a checkout date no later than 180 days from the issuance date.
Does the Free Night in a Category 1 – 4 hotel or resort award need to be used by or booked by the expiration date?
The Free Night in a Category 1 – 4 hotel or resort award must be redeemed for reservations with a checkout date prior to the expiration date of the award. Awards not redeemed prior to the expiration date of the award will be forfeited.

When do I receive the four Explorist Club Lounge Access Awards?

How long are Explorist Club Lounge Access Awards available?
Explorist Club Lounge access awards earned prior to January 1, 2018 are valid in connection with reservations with a checkout date no later than one year from the date that the Explorist Club Lounge Access Awards appear in the member’s account. Explorist Club Lounge access awards earned on or after January 1, 2018 are valid for the same period as the tier status achieved at the time the awards were earned. The awards are valid in connection with reservations with a checkout date by the expiration of the award. Awards not redeemed prior to the expiration date of the award will be forfeited.

Are the four suite upgrade awards guaranteed at time of reservation?
These suite upgrade awards must be redeemed when making the underlying reservation and are subject to availability. However, once redeemed for a confirmed reservation, the upgrade is guaranteed.
After I stay 70, 80, 90 or 100 Tier-Qualifying Nights, how do I secure my suite upgrade award or 10,000 Bonus Points?
Upon completing your 70th, 80th, 90th, or 100th Tier-Qualifying Night, you will receive an email alerting you to choose which benefit you would like to receive. You will then be prompted to make the selection on your account page. You can also call a Hyatt Global Contact Center to make the selection.
If I choose the suite upgrade award for my benefit after staying 70, 80, 90 or 100 Tier-Qualifying Nights, when will the award be added to my account? How long is the award valid?
Award will appear in your account 5 to 7 business days after selection date. Suite upgrade awards earned prior to January 1, 2018 are valid for reservations in connection with a checkout date no later than one year from the date of award issuance. Suite upgrade awards earned on or after January 1, 2018 are valid for the same period as the tier status of the member at the time the awards were earned. The awards are valid in connection with reservations with a checkout date by the expiration of the award.

How do I book a Points + Cash award?
To book a Points + Cash award please visit Hyatt.com and log into your account or call (800) 228-3360 in the U.S. and Canada or your nearest Hyatt Global Contact Center. Points + Cash awards can only be redeemed for suites by calling Hyatt, and not online. (The ability to book Points + Cash awards for suite accommodations begins November 1, 2018.)
Can I book Points + Cash awards online?

If I cancel my Points + Cash award will the points be deposited back into my account?
Yes, if a Points + Cash award reservation is cancelled in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy, the points used will be returned to your World of Hyatt account.
When will I be charged the cash portion of a Points + Cash award?
The cash portion of a Points + Cash award will be charged directly to the member by the hotel at the time of checkout.
